Napa Valley Brewing Company was founded in 1987 and sits on the grounds of the historic Calistoga Inn. It was the first commercial brewery in Napa County since the end of prohibition in 1933. We brew five principle beers: American Wheat Ale, Palisades Pilsner, Calistoga Red Ale, West Coast I.P.A. & Blue Collar Porter. In addition, other seasonal beers are brewed throughout the year, such as the German Kölsch, Blitzen I.P.A., Pacific Pale Ale & Dugan Oatmeal Stout.
Most of the brewery's production is served at the Calistoga Inn. We also have limited distribution of 12 ounce cans throughout the Napa Valley. We have a 7-barrel gas fired brewhouse that was originally designed by Dr. Michael Lewis of UC Davis. Our current total annual production is about 400 barrels. After a long day of wine tasting, there's nothing like a cold beer on the patio at the Calistoga Inn.
Brewery tours are available Monday - Friday with our brewmaster. Please call in advance for an appointment: 707-942-4101
